When I called customer support after the unit would not charge from the USB adapter on my computer, their answer was to either reconfigure your computer to get it to work or buy an adapter. Why a $10 product wasn't included in the package is something I just don't understand. I got the Best Price Cuisinart BFP-703 SmartPower Blender Processor for Christmas and it is great. I love how it is connected to shoppings world of apps, books, music, and movies. It is lighter than a full sized tablet so it is easier to take places. There are a few things that I do not like. Like there is no external volume controls and the power button is really easy to hit. I also wish you could disable the carousel and change it to something else. But overall, I am pleased with the device.

I am not a fan of apple and have never owned an apple product. The original Best Price Cuisinart BFP-703 SmartPower Blender Processor was a worthy purchase and from the grapevine better than the second generation fire and the new fire hd. Pros: good screen, durable, appstore, bookstore, music store, acess to cheap and free books apps and movies, good app quality. Cons: Battery life could be longer, screen could be brighter, could be lighter, & speakers aren't great unless u use headphones or another speaker. Overall: the original Best Price Cuisinart BFP-703 SmartPower Blender Processor is great but could hav been better. A great choice if ur not looking for an ipad. Also fire hds camea only works with skype and doesn't let u take pictures for urself and 2nd generation and fire hd make u pay for a plug and 15 dollars to remove screens with polluted adds. I would recommend the original fire when shopping was shopping before they started to become like apple.

Gave Best Price Cuisinart BFP-703 SmartPower Blender Processor to my 89-year old Mom who is, shall we say, not exactly in tune with modern technology. She loves it -- I set it up for her email and made sure she had certain apps, like Solitaire and Grocery IQ and Weather Channel. She loves it. She doesn't use a lot of its functionality, but is very happy with what she does use. It's a perfect size for putting into her purse so she can read her e-books on the go (she also has a regular Best Price Cuisinart BFP-703 SmartPower Blender Processor, so she can read on either device). I have an iPad but would definitely consider a Fire for myself when the iPad gives out (it's an iPad 1 and apparently is no longer supported by Apple -- boo, hiss to Apple for that!)
